What we’re reading: The case for day schools

Recently, an article started re-circulating between the faculty, staff, and parents at Rashi. In 2016, George Washington University professor Dr. Erica Brown wrote this appeal to all Jewish parents considering enrolling or re-enrolling in day school.

In my short time as Interim Head of School here at Rashi, I have particularly found the virtues extolled in Dr. Brown’s article to be present here. If you would like further encouragement to read on, here are a few comments from various people over the last month about her writing:

“This article is something that every parent should read.”

“We couldn’t have written this better ourselves.”

“Let’s share this with anyone/everyone who walks in the door.”

Enjoy!
