Class Notes: Winter 2019

Class of 1994

Julia Wenger and her husband Justin Hall welcomed their first child, Beatrice Rose Hall on July 28, 2018 in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Class of 2001

Danielle Ain is engaged to be married to Will Velasco; they live in Boston.

Larry Tobin was recognized as a 2019 Chai in the Hub honoree.

Class of 2002

Ariella Cohen is volunteering for the Israeli American Council young professionals group. One of their initiatives is an intermediate to advanced level Hebrew class for young professionals in the Boston area. Learn more

Class of 2005

Gila Belsky married Alex Modell in the Berkshires, officiated by Rabbi Joel Sisenwine on October 7, 2018. They live in New York City.

Class of 2006

Esme Moskowitz and Brett Jacobson were married on July 28, 2019 at Grey Rock Mansion in Baltimore. Esme is teaching first grade at the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School in Washington, DC.


Adina Jick and Noah Pardo were married on August 4, 2018 at Lion Rock Farm in Sharon, CT. Adina is currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University in New York.

Class of 2009

Sydney Rubenstein is in Tel Aviv, volunteering for Magen David Adom Emergency Services. “They have an overseas program that allows you to volunteer on the ambulances. This is my second time doing it,” Sydney reports. Afterwards, she will stay to work and then volunteer on a kibbutz. Sydney attributes the eighth-grade trip to Israel for what sparked her love for the Land. She tells us, “I can’t stop coming back!”
