“The Art of Engaging Grandparents” – Rashi’s Development Team Presented at CASE-NAIS Conference

Amy Klotz, Assistant Director of Development at The Rashi School and Kim Stone, Director of Alumni Relations at The Rashi School, recently traveled to Philadelphia to speak at the widely attended 2019 CASE-NAIS Independent School Conference. Their presentation focused upon “The Art of Engaging Grandparents.” An annual event, the conference showcases inspiring examples of how independent schools across the country have developed successful advancement programs.

“Grandparents are an integral part of a school community and play a key part in a school’s fundraising and enrollment success,” says Amy Klotz. The Rashi team discussed how Rashi’s small development office expanded its annual Generations Day event to encompass over 300 grandparents and special friends in 2018. With a small budget, the popular event yielded an impressive return. Added Kim Stone, “Each year, both the grandparents and grandchildren look forward to attending Generations Day.  It’s a very special event.” Kim and Amy also discussed additional grandparent engagement events, how to build lasting relationships and the school’s new Grandparent Leadership Giving Circle.
